TitreThe Effects of Evaluation Methods on Written Products from a Formal Perspective : the case of SBA 4th year students
Mots clésThe writing product theory; The assessment/evaluation process;Errors analysis; Feedback.
RésuméThis dissertation is about the effects of teachers' methods of evaluating the EFL written forms after summative examination. What inspires this research is to understand why EFL learners even the advanced ones still produce the same errors over and over their academic years. We study in this enquiry upon theoretical and methodological procedures over 5 chapters and using questionnaires designed for both teachers and students. yet, for the fact of how our ways as teachers while correcting the written outputs of lour learners help them to avoid the unwanted forms which are far from the norms of the English language, we needed other urgent tools such as the correction of the students' written materials cross-sectionally and longitudinally and interviewing some advanced learners form the Faculty of Sidi Bel Abbes. Finally, our work does not look down up the actual ways of correction elaborated by the teachers especially with hundred and hundred students to evaluate every year, not it despair the Algerian students for their weak performances. It is recommended that a new type of feedback should be implemented after summative examination in order to help our learners to overcome their most frequent t errors in writing.
